H&M Conscious Collection- Exclusive

Hello fashionistas, big, big, BIG news! H&M's infamous Conscious Collection has launched and is in full affect! The much anticipated line consists of beautiful and extravagant pieces that will surely entice you to buy. This year's promotion features the face of Amber Valletta. You know her mostly from her role as Allegra Cole on the hit movie co-starring Will Smith, Eva Mendes and Kevin James, 'Hitch'.

The collection for 2014 is even bigger and better! In the photos shown below you will notice the luxurious detailing and incredibly thought out process for each and every individual piece. From the elongating black jacquard gown and exaggerated shouldered blouse, and my personal favorite, seriously embellished pump, you can find something (if not all) to buy and satisfy your fashion urge.

Here are my FAVORITE pieces from the collection:
Long Jacquard Weave Dress- $299

Silk-blend Kimono Dress- $69.95

Lace Dress- $249

Embroidered Jacket- $549

Puff-Sleeved top- $49.95

And my absolute favorite item from the line........
Embroidered Leather Sandals- $149.00

These shoes are hands down the BEST shoes H&M has ever designed! And they're super comfy!

Meanwhile, at Trina Turk

As I stated in my previous post, I am fortunate to hold two internship positions. Along with the prom market, I am now the newest edition to the Trina Turk showroom family. I have been there now for about a month and a half and I absolutely love it; my boss is amazing and don't get me started on the fabulous fashion pieces that I have seen! So far, I have steamed clothes, filed papers, packed orders, ordered look books and of course, made coffee runs...lol. All in all, I absolutely adore my time there and hopefully will be a part of the team long-term.

Since I have been working for Trina Turk, my fashion horizons have been broadened. Check out several of my ootd selections:

I'm Getting It Together

Hey guys!
So I know I've been m.i.a for a while, but for good reasons. In the past 3 months I have worked tirelessly and even picked up a couple of internship opportunities. I just came out of Atlanta's Apparel Fashion Week and worked on a few projects with the Prom Markets, which by the way was....incredible! I got the chance to have my own models to dress and send down the runway and quick style them (I've never done that before). The crazy part about it was as I was about to send one of my models out to walk, the zipper on her dress jammed and I totally freaked. I called for assistance and even my helper couldn't get it! We zipped it as far as we could, luckily it was a side zipper, told her to keep her arms down and sent her down the runway. The show was a success and there were no other mishaps...phew!

Here is a photo from backstage before the madness.

My partner for showroom pickups helped me choose garments to pull for the shows....

I encountered gorgeous gowns during this time!
Doesn't this just make you want to dress up everyday? Lol

The Great Gatsby

This weekend I went to admire the beautifully created and directed, Gatsby. I was so taken aback on the costumes, visuals and music I just had to blog it. Each scene captivated me, not only because of the action and thrills, but every piece of clothing worn for male and female were simply breathtaking. As I come to find out, the designer behind these amazing creations was the one and only Miuccia Prada with costume designer Catherine Martin of Moulin Rouge. I am such a huge fan of this book and this movie really did justice to the book and made my friends and I want to watch it multiple times. Here are just a few looks that I just could not get enough of...

Mrs. Carter at H&M

So time is winding down and Mrs. Beyonce Carter's swimwear line for H&M collaboration is rapidly approaching. The collection is highly anticipated and when I tell you the pieces are pretty intense....take a look- see!

I absolutely love this high-waist caftan look; a definite must have.

The commercial is 1:21 of sheer greatness! And the song is on repeat.
