Outfit of the Week

This week spotted trotting around the set of 'Gossip Girl' was Leighton Meester aka Blair Waldorf. She is nice and warm in this vintage-style off-grey peacoat. She dressed it up with some cream colored booties and a HUGE comfy scarf. The look is classy and rich... so Blair.

Gossip Girl :-)

Model of the Week

Miranda Kerr! This Australian model has a sassy, fun and sexy walk in every show she's in. With her cutsey dimples and gorgeous smile, she's SURE to be one of the best models to date.

Outfit of the Week

I am more of a simple-yet-elegant person myself. That's why this week's Outfit of the Week is on Jessica Alba. In this outfit you can go shopping with your friends, run errands, or even go on a chill date with your boo. I love how she adds a touch of yellow to brighten the look and a kickass handbag to sum it all up! Go J!

Pic of the Week

So Kim K is in Glamour magazine's next issue and she did a spread 'Makeunder'. In this article, she is stripped of her makeup and is all naturalle. Honestly, she is beautiful with or without makeup but I guess she wanted to show it to the world in more detail, lol. So... here are a couple of pics selected.
The spread was done in all white to advance the purity of the photoshoot.

Model of the Week

This beautiful woman is truely amazing. She graced the Victoria's Secret fashion show stage with JUST popping out baby number 4 a couple of weeks prior! She looked incredible and in shape. She is the epitime of a model woman. Go Heidi!

Accessory of the Week

What a surprise! My totebag is this week's 'Accessory of the Week'! "Why?", you ask? It is because this tote is beautifully made and you can "tote" ANYTHING in it. It is very durable and fun.... sure to turn heads!

I'm Working on It

So I'm still learning how to sew (i'm a beginner) and I'm almost finished my skirt! I just need to clean finish my hem and I'm all set. I will DEFINATELY have pictures up of it and the many ways you can wear it.. I'm SO excited! Now, I'm working on my vest... that should be done in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

Accessory of the Week

This Week's Accessory is a pair of Emporio Armani black (with gold touches) booties. Aren't they adorb? The will run you $765 but they are well worth it. With intense detail these booties will surely be the PERFECT accessory with any and EVERY outfit. Loves.

y girl Rihanna looked SO STUNNING at the Glamour awards for Empowering Women of the Year. She graced the red carpet and her presents was more than welcoming. This week's 'Pic of the Week' goes to her and legendary iconic model Iman (above top). They are two beautiful and powerful and well-respected women in our society and I am pleased to blog about them. It was well deserved.

Accessory of the Week

Nicole Richie Celebrates House of Harlow
This headpiece is Nicole's signature look. It highlights the entire outfit and is the first thing you see whether in a picture (here) or if you were to see her in person. This Bohemian-chic fashionista has her own line of fab and affordable jewelry out now called House of Harlow 1960.

Pic of the Week

Amerie1 - amerie photo
Amerie is in the peak of her career now and it's better than ever. She's more exposed and know for her work more nowadays. She has the title of 'Outfit of the Week' this week because... well.. look at her. She has taken this cute button-down dress and paired it with some neutral (Louboutins) and turned her day to a laid back casual one. She didn't over-do it with pairing the dress with, say, red pumps or other colored pumps. The bag adds a touch of color without putting "too much effort" into the outfit. She kept her look simple and breezy. OH! and I LOVE the shades by the way :-)

Model of the Week

The model of the week this week is Jourdan Dunn. This stunning 19 year old is the face of many companies as for advertisments and major shows. Last month I mentioned her with Chanel Iman on the cover of Teen Vogue Magazine. They were the FIRST two African-American women on a single cover in Teen Vogue history! Congrats! Jourdan is beautiful, elegant, and rocker-chic all in one, and THAT is why she's this week's model of the week. Keep on rockin, girlfriend!

Model of the Week

This week's model is Jessica Stam. She embraces the catwalk with her pouty lips and adolescent and youthful looks. She has walked in shows for Victoria's Secret, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Hermes, and among many other designers.

The GORGEOUS summer 2009 dress is by Oscar de la Renta

Don't Do It

Ladies (and fabulous Gents) don't get SUCKED into the whole expensive jean trend. They're nice, and have great quality, but spending $100+ for a pair is rediculous, but hey, if you got it, flaunt it. As a "voice of reason" invest in accessories because you wear them with ALL of your outfits anyway, why not? You can buy incredible jeans from discount stores, or even major department stores (on clearance) and pay a fraction of the actual retail price. For the everyday recessionista (like me), it can be pretty easy to fall into the traps of the media. Don't Do It. Seriously, we see our fave celebs in high end brands and wish we could afford the items, but let's face it, we can't; not all of us anyway. Be smart with buying clothes. Fashion has absolutely NO rules and it's not like someone is going to walk up to you, and pull down your jeans JUST to see what name brand you're rocking. Take my advice and let someone ELSE to the major spending. When they get tired of it and want to move on, trust and believe they will get rid of it... and you'll be there to scoop it up for a damn good and affordable price. Can I get a "Whuuut whuuuut"? hehehe

Quick Post...

Just so you are informed, when buying a cardigan, be sure to buy them at bargain prices. My advice is to not invest in a cardigan by paying a lot of money for one and wearing it over and over. Check out thrift stores, Plato's, and other discount stores for them. I mean, why pay over $100 for just ONE cardigan when you can buy at least 10 of them combined for that price? Makes sense? Of course it does! Lol. If you want to settle on one, fine, but don't pay more than $20 for it... Forever 21 and H&M carries them at amazingly LOW prices.

Outfit of the Week

This week's title goes to Taylor Swift! I adore this look; it's cute, casual, and chic with an edgy feel to it. I love how to top is a cool fall-y color and the boots gives a complement to the handbag. It's cool and laid back.

Pic of the week

This is the pic of the week I love the feel of this photo, how the laughter enchants the conversation. Love.

Accessory of the Week

This week's accessory is by Marilyn Minter. This tote bag is for the October's Breast Cancer month collection, but will be available throughout. The picture is of a woman's mouth with pink caviar on her tongue. The inspiration? her eight minute film Green Pink Caviar. And look who I spotted trotting around town with it!!

Model of the Week

This week's model is......

Need I say why? She's America's newest supermodel. I mean, really- look at her lol. She's also featured in this month's Teen Vogue issue with the amazing and beautiful Jourdan Dunn! Check it out!

Outfit of the Week

I LOVE Hayden Panettiere, but that's not why she's this week's outfit (wearer) of the week. The way she has paired this cute teal/ blue plaid shirt with mini white shorts and brown frilly flat boots has inspired a new look for many. Look how she is styling and profiling without trying too hard. I love it!

Although, she should have worn her hair in a ponytail, it would have been even cuter because a ponytail gives an "effort" look verses just wearing your hair down.

Accessory of the Week

Elizabeth and James by Mary-Kate and Ashley is one of my favorite collections to date. One good reason why? Take a look for yourself...

This cute little lace bootie is an essential piece to your closet. It is a great investment because you can wear it year round and with practically anything! The open toe gives you the option to wear stockings or go bare in whatever weather, and the gold- touch heel gives this bootie that splash of edge.

Pic of the Week

This week's "Pic of the Week" is of the glam diva Rachel Zoe!
Check out her gorg ensemble. The entire outfit is steller and she looks very comfy and chic (as though she should). The only flaw about this is that she is wearing fur... I REALLY hope that's faux fur Rachel!

Accessory of the Week

Since Fall is settling in and we still have a few of those Summer days, this jacket is the perfect go-to accessory. This is the "Accessory of the Week" because you can throw this jacket on with leggings, dress it up with a high- waisted skirt and pumps, or dress it down with a pair of skinnies and some boots!
You can find this delectable bandleader jacket (for all my non-recessionistas) for a whopping $645.00 at or also available in all InterMix stores.

And for all my recessionistas (or if you just like this jacket better), you can find this just as sexy and serious price slashing look-a-like for only $37.80 at or most Forever21 stores. See, you can still be fabulous without paying the tre tre fabulous prices!

Intermix Price: $645.00

Forever21 price (more in my range, lol): $37.80
Total Savings: $607.20!
(That's a laptop! Or like, 20 outfits!)

Jimmy Choo's Tamara Mellon Launches Accessories at H&M!

OMG! Tamara Mellon, CEO of Jimmy Choo is launching her accessory line at one of my FAVORITE stores, H&M! Everyone get your AMEX cards ready because on November 14, 2009 will be the day to swipe and swipe good! The pumps will range from $75-$160! Those are AWESOME prices compared to the usual retail prices of like $1300.

Look at these ridiculously fabulous pumps. You can't tell me they're not two of the most beautiful shoes you've ever seen. I have not had the pleasure of owning a pair of REALLY expensive designer pumps, but these will DEFINATELY be my first pair. I really REALLY want of pair of Christian Louboutin, but I have not gotten to that status, yet. So, Jimmy Choo is my second choice. Remember, November 14, 2009 is the day. I will be first in line (and expect pictures as well), and hopefully Tamara will be there... I would die if she was, OMG! Lol

Fabulous Weekly Fashions

There is a new section that I will be featuring on my site. Starting October 5, 2009 each week will be a new "Pic of the Week, "Accessory of the Week", and "Outfit of the Week". This will give you that extra "inside" look on what is hot this fall and how you can spruce up your wardrobe also known as 'FWF'. Be fabulous and enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to leave some comments with opinions and or suggestions.

Victoria Beckham Graces the cover of October 2009 Issue

Victoria Beckham is the most popular and fashionable out of all the Spice Girls. In this month's issue of ELLE, she REALLY showed her glamorous and fashion side. Reviews good or bad, this woman gets people talking, and to me, she is one of the best "models" of fashion. Victoria has a long resume with making a name for herself and her brand(s).

From her fashion line DVB, her campaign ads with Emperio Armani, and other endevours, she has totally revamped who she is and how far she has truly come. She is continuously snapped by the paparazzi and in literally EVERY magazine you pick up. As a mother of three, a wife, a business woman, and a mogul, Mrs. Beckham has it all... everything a fashion girl could ever want.
