Fashion's Foundation

Some years ago my cousin introduced me to this amazing liquid foundation by Maybelline. Through the process of moving and traveling the states, I eventually used it up, and for some reason, couldn't find it anywhere. Recently, going through my (still packed) boxes, I discovered I kept the bottle. I am so excited because now that it's back in my life, I will use it religiously lol. Enough with the back story, here is the incredible product that has me jumping for joy and wanting to spread the news!

The cool thing about this foundation is that it is very similar to (and cheaper than) the 'Fit Me' foundation with shades starting from Vanilla to Caramel. I was originally going to buy two of the same, but both of these colors are really close to my complexion, so I'll test them out and keep you posted! 

H&M Look Book 2013

Of course you know I am completely obsessed with H&M. Not only because I work there, but because it is the #1 fashion retailer in the world. We offer fashion and quality at the best price and from the looks of this look book, along with the prices....amaze! These outfits are styled to the max and I love them all.

For this Spring, it's all about floral (duh!) and pastel prints. I've definitely gotten more comfortable with mixing prints than before. I've learned that you should have fun with fashion and styling and have it be an experiment. So this Spring and Summer, get into your closets and express yourselves fashionistas!

Memories of New York...

I came upon the pics taken from our FNO trip and remembered what a great and beautiful experience it was. My Mom, friend and co-blogger RebelRane and I had the best time of our lives and I hope we can all make this an annual thing. From bright lights, celebrity sightings and even running into our old friend walking the streets of NY, the night was never-ending with fun and surprises!

Giving thanks...

Yes, the official day for giving thanks is officially one week away.

Send your holiday cards for those too far away for visiting.

And if you will be partaking in someone else's feast, substitute bringing your 'famous cobbler' with a special gift for the host. Everyone loves the scents of cranberry, pies, stuffings and such, but when the plates are cleared away and the guests have dispersed, they're left with the lingering but fading aromas- that citrus scented dish soap isn't going to do the trick.

May I suggest a home fragrance, candle?

Yankee makes some yummy scents. Lemon lavender could be perfect for a calming after dinner atmosphere.
It's an extension of your inner fashionista goodness.

November has arrived, and although in some places the hot and cold weather are playing a game of cat and mouse, there is a distinct nip in the air and bite in the breeze. We're probably still weeks away from the bitter cold- not yet white, but definitely grey.

As a nod to Fashionista V and her love of H&M, I encourage all fashionistas to check out the Grey Collection for women. Knits, sweats and wools (great for layering), seem to be the bulk of the pieces, but I must say the leather jacket and shoes are very cool staples for the transitioning winter wardrobe. Not for the super overly cute girly girl work closet, but something she can definitely change into for fun, or darker, grey moments.

My suggestion is to grab any lighter weight fabrics offered at your nearest H&M location before months' end and slip them into your day to day mix. The more costly jackets and boots can be placed on your wish list for the holiday so you gradually have the best of the Grey world.

Fashion's Night Out

Hey there. Well, I've been away roaming the streets of New York City with my mom and my friend/ FAMF partner Neci. Now finally back home and I have the opportunity to share my photos and incredible experiences in photos with you...very excited!
